Certificates of Deposit

Click on CD New Account Request form link on the CD Rates page. It is an electronic form, so you’ll need Acrobat Reader (if you don’t already have it installed on your system, it is a free download, so just click on the link to get it). You can fill out the form, save it, and email it back. If you cannot open the document, or are have problems filling it out, you can use the “Print” version. Once you have filled in the form, simply fax it back, or mail it to the address listed at the bottom of the page. If you have problems printing the form, please email cd@crestmark.com with your fax number or mailing address, and we will send you a printed form directly.

Yes, we do. In fact, we can open an account for you by email, mail or fax.

No, we do not. We need to deal directly with the depositor. If you are not sure whether you are a deposit broker, please see http://www.fdic.gov/news/news/inactivefinancial/1999/ for the list of exclusions.

For Consumer accounts, we need legible photocopies of a drivers’ license for each party on the account. If you do not have a drivers’ license, a state-issued photo ID can be used. For Business accounts, we need a copy of your Articles of Incorporation. For Trust accounts, we need a copy of the Trust document, as well as photo ID for each trustee on the account. Please mail or fax a copy of these to us at the address below, or scan and email the images of the supporting documents to us at cd@crestmark.com

We accept wires or checks. Send your wire to ABA: 072413764, Account Number (use your 10-digit phone number as the Account Number). We ask that you use your phone number as a temporary account number in case we receive your wire prior to receiving your CD New Account Request form. If you are sending a check to fund your account, the check should be made payable to Crestmark Bank, and sent to 5480 Corporate Drive, Suite 350, Troy MI 48098; attn: CD Department. Please note that we cannot open your account until we receive the funds from you.

Your account will be opened as of the date we receive your check. We will not process your Certificate of Deposit until one week later to ensure that your check clears. You can expect to receive your signature cards and other documents by mail from us about two weeks after we receive your funds.

No, we do not. We pay what’s called simple interest, which means that your interest does not make interest.

No, we only provide APR because the interest does not compound. We go by the Annual Percentage Rate.

The top copy of your Certificate of Deposit is for you to keep. You’ll sign and fax this to us when you wish to redeem your Certificate of Deposit at maturity. The second copy is stamped “Please complete and return.” Sign all of the highlighted areas and send back in the stamped, self-addressed envelope. If you are a business, and have not already send us the Corporate Authorization Resolution document, please complete it and mail that back as well.

Unfortunately, you cannot view your account online at this time. If you ever have a question regarding your account, please contact our CD administrator.

We only process Certificates of Deposit accounts in our Troy, Michigan office. We do not have branches, however, Crestmark Bank provides commercial financing solutions, and has business and sales offices located around the country.

We are not always in the market; we enter the market to fund certain projects.

No, we only offer regular CD accounts.

Send a fax to (248) 641-5104 with your instructions as to whether you would like to renew your CD or redeem it. We will send your funds via check or wire transfer at no charge.

We do not post our rollover rates on our website. If you would like to roll over your account and want to know our current rates, please call our Certificates of Deposit Administrator. If you would like to roll over or renew your account, please send a fax stating the term and the rate you would like.

We need your wiring instructions, your banks routing or ABA number and your account number, and one signature from any one of your authorized signers. You can fax this information to us at 248-641-5104.

No, please wait until you have the funds before sending your account request form. Our rates may change, and we are not always in the market for new funds.
